I'm in the midst of reading this guy's ride report in ADV Rider.

Doug is from Alabama and just rode around the world on a '62 pan, hardtail chopper.

I am more than a little impressed. Great ride report and great pics.

My main Ride: 1999 Road King Classic... Happens to be my ONLY 2-wheeled ride at the moment.
Special Equipment: Andrews TW31G Cams, PCIIIr, V&H Oval slip-ons without baffles, K&N Filter element in a modified/drilled stock breather backplate. Everything else is chrome.
Secondary Ride: 1992 Chevrolet K5 Blazer

Hardtail frame, i don't think doug had much that was stock on that thing. I tried to attach a pic but i got a "the extension bmp is not allowed" error message.

LOL...I spent a lot of time on advrider.com while I was deployed (check out the Polish guys riding through Afghanistan) and there isn't a lot of love for The Motor Company there; but I have seen a lot of guys giving props to Doug for his adventure.

Yeah Army, I remember you saying you were another inmate at ADV.

Here's the thread of Doug's bike build. This GD broken leg is keeping me chained to the computer wayyyy too much!
